Job vacancy at Speed:
We are looking for an experienced motorcycle mechanic to join our team, they will be taking on a key role within our business to run our workshop.
You will need to be confident to carry out tasks on your own, this will involve servicing and repairs of bikes. Dealing with customers in the servicing department along with helping out on sales.
The candidate will need to be confident dealing with managing staff.
We are a small family business so we all work closely together, the candidate would be working 40 hours per week however there may be the opportunity to work overtime also.
Main duties:
To carry out routine servicing or maintenance on bikes
Conduct diagnosis of any found or reported faults, carrying out repairs as required (PDI checks, changes of tyres, oil, brake pads, etc)
Carry out road tests to confirm correct operation and stability following service/repair
Completion of appropriate documentation
Advise appropriate colleagues of any additional work/faults found
Ensure that work is completed within manufacturers' standard times where possible
Provide great customer service
Keep personal working area clean and free from potential hazards
Ensure work space and tools/equipment is kept maintained to an acceptable standard
Report any potential hazards to your General Manager
To comply with all Health & Safety standards
Attend training courses to update personal skills and knowledge where applicable
To guide and supervise less experienced mechanics in the team
Requirements:
previous experience in motorcycles/mopeds workshop
knowledge of diagnostic systems
knowledge of engine and electrics repairs
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £25,000-35,000 per year (dependent on experience)
Schedule:
Monday to Friday 9am-6pm
